おもしろい夢を見た日は、いつもいい旅をした気分で日が覚める。夢で出逢った町や人は、現実の世界よりリアルな姿をしているときがある。
ふだん見慣れた街で、そんな景色にばったり出会うことがある。出会った瞬間、体がふわりと軽くなり遠い所に連れていかれそうになる。
そこには、キリコの絵に漂う白昼夢の陰影がある。ピロスマニの絵に出てくる暗がりの月光感覚。絵馬や泥絵にしみついた黄昏世界が見え隠れする。どれも、UFOが現れそうなフラットで静かな景色だ。異界に連なる裂け目のような光景だ。
わたしは、閣が薄まっていく日本の町を彷撞い、記録より記憶の回路に繋がる景色を探し求めた。

On days that I've had an interesting dream, I wake with
a sensation like that of having had a good journey.
Towns and people I encounter in my dreams at times
appear to be more real than those of the waking, real
world.
On occasion I would happen upon just such a
scene in an ordinary and familiar town. At such
moments, my I,ody feels suddenly lighter, as if I would
be lifted and carried somewhere far away.
These places carry traces of the daydreams that
tinge DE CHIRICO's paintings. The sensation of moonlight
in the darkness appearing in the paintings of PIROSMANI.
Stained into votive emd Paintings and distemper, the
world of dusk mckers in and out of sight. Each is a flat
and quiescent scene onto which one might even expect a
UFO to appear. A sight like a rift across a strange realm.
I wandered through towns of Japan in the
fading darkness, and rather than to record, I searched for
scenes which connect to the avenues of recollection.
